September was a bit of a holiday! I took some time out of the office to spend with a dear cousin who was visiting from Naples, Italy, where she lives and works as an artist. We had some great conversations about what it’s like to be a young Australian woman setting up a life in a whole new culture.
After my cousin’s visit I was off to the US for two weeks to spend some time with friends and attend the wedding of a close friend. We were lucky enough to visit some places off the beaten tourist track, including Columbus – Ohio, Louisville – Kentucky and Missoula – Montana. Missoula was over and above my favourite – like a country town version of Melbourne, but with a wilderness edge… surrounded by mountains anywhere you look. Magic to see local industry and creativity thriving, in a stunning setting far way that took three internal flights to arrive at.
I did manage to get some work done this month, including presenting last week for the Singapore Institute of Directors, on the topic, ‘Growing a Brand in the Digital Age: International Perspectives’. You can see the topic out line here or read the key take-aways in more detail.
Currently we are also working on personal brand and LinkedIn strategy for some high-profile business leaders working in the areas of disruption, corporate entrepreneurship and digital marketing. We are also helping to develop content for websites, newsletters and LinkedIn articles for a range of businesses.
