VIDEO: The special requirements of a leader’s personal brand
This month, my live 30-minute Online Q&A Chats continue, mixing tips and discussion on personal brand strategy with an opportunity to network online with professional peers.
My live Q&A Chat in May 2021 was on ‘The Special Requirements of a Leader’s Personal Brand’.
I shared the specific challenges I see in personal branding for clients in leadership roles, and the requirements leadership brands have beyond the basics. We then had time to network and discuss implementation points.
Online Q&A Chats are held on the last Friday of every month, 11am AWST/Singapore / 1pm AEST. Follow New Work Consulting on LinkedIn for your invitation to the next Chat.
Leadership challenges in personal branding I outlined:
- A unifying theme for different ‘hats’ and experience
- A focus for particular platforms and audiences
- A shift in what you are known for
I then spoke about going beyond the ‘basics’ to include commentary on:
- Your personal leadership style
- Your core values in business and how this plays out in your work
- Themes or causes you care about creating positive change in
- Areas in which you’ve led and the impact this has made
- What qualifies you to lead in future contexts
Afterwards, we shared the focus points most relevant to each of our own leadership brands, and had some time to network.
The video below includes the recording of my discussion of leadership personal brand challenges and action points:
